I did take time in the midst of rushing to make the most of our low-70's unseasonal weather
(no more windows fell out, thank goodness!)
and took a short walk around the yard, drinking in the fall beauty.
This is my Japanese Maple, variant 'Orodono nishiki.'
It's been here for a few years now and been getting more established.
In the summer it's a mix of whites and pinks and greens and reds.
This is the first year I recall it really coming into its own in the fall.
It just glows.
Also, I just like saying its name: Oridono Nishiki
