Lophura nycthemera fokiensis - Northwest-Fokien (Southeast-China);
Lophura nycthemera whiteheadi - Hainan Island (South-China);
Lophura nycthemera occidentalis - Northwest-Yunnan (Southwest-China) and Northwest-Myanmar;
Lophura nycthemera rufipes - Southwest-Yunnan (Southwest-China) and Northcentral-Myanmar;
Lophura nycthemera jonesi - East-Myanmar to South-China and North-Thailand;
Lophura nycthemera ripponi - Eastcentral-Myanmar;
Lophura nycthemera beaulieui - Southwest-Yunnan (Southcentral-China), North-Laos and Northwest-Vietnam;
Lophura nycthemera berliozi - Northcentral-Vietnam;
Lophura nycthemera beli - Westcentral-Vietnam;
Lophura nycthemera annamensis - Southcentral-Vietnam;
Lophura nycthemera lewisi - Southwest-Cambodia and Southeast-Thailand;
