Eurasian Curlew - Numenius arquata - Wulp
Eurasia. Winters to Africa, South- and Southeast-Asia.
The following 3 subspecies are being recognized:
Numenius arquata arquata - West-, North- and Central-Europe. Winters to West- and South-Europe and West-Africa;
Numenius arquata orientalis - West- and Central-Siberia. Winters to Mediterranean, Africa, South- and Southeast-Asia;
Numenius arquata suchkini - West-Kazakhstan to Southwest-Siberia. Winters to Southwest-Asia and coastal Africa south of the Sahara.
