Upupa epops epops - Northwest-Africa and Europe to Southcentral-Russia, Northwest-China and Northwest-India;
Upupa epops saturata - East-Russia to Korea, Japan, Central-China and Tibet;
Upupa epops ceylonensis - Central- and South-India and Sri Lanka;
Upupa epops longirostris - Northeast-India to South-China, Indochina and North-Malay Peninsula;
Upupa epops major - Egypt;
Upupa epops senegalensis - Senegal and Gambia to Somalia;
Upupa epops waibeli - Cameroon to Northwest-Kenya and North-Uganda;
Upupa epops africana - Central-DR Congo east to Central-Kenya and south to South Africa.
