Yellow-Bellied Toad - Bombina variegata - Geelbuikvuurpad
European endemic. Netherlands and France to Italy, Bulgaria and Greece.
The following 4 subspecies are being recognized:
Bombina variegata variegata - West-, Central- and Eastern Europe, Italy north of the Po, northern Balkan;
Bombina variegata kolombatovici - Yugoslavia to West-Montenegro;
Bombina variegata scabra - Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania;
Bombina variegata pachypus - Italy south of the Po.
