Southern Water Snake - Nerodia fasciata - Gebandeerde Waterslang
Southeast-USA (East-Texas to South-Missouri and North Carolina to Florida).
The following 3 subspecies are being recognized:
Nerodia fasciata confluens - Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, East-Texas and Oklahoma;
Nerodia fasciata fasciata - North Carolina to Georgia, South-Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle;
Nerodia fasciata pictiventris - South-Georgia and Florida. Introduced to Texas.
