Hypsipetes amaurotis ogawae - North-Ryukyu Islands (south of Japan);
Hypsipetes amaurotis pryeri - Central-Ryukyu Islands (south of Japan);
Hypsipetes amaurotis stejnegeri - South-Ryukyu Islands (south of Japan);
Hypsipetes amaurotis squamiceps - Bonin Island (Japan);
Hypsipetes amaurotis magnirostris - Volcano Island (Japan);
Hypsipetes amaurotis borodinonis - Borodino Island (Japan);
Hypsipetes amaurotis nagamichii - Taiwan and Lanyu Island;
Hypsipetes amaurotis batanensis - Batan, Ivuhos, Sabtang, Babuyan and Claro (North-Philippines);
Hypsipetes amaurotis fugensis - Dalupiri, Calayan and Fuga Islands (north of Luzon in North-Philippines);
Hypsipetes amaurotis camiguinensis - Camiguin Island (north of Luzon in North-Philippines).
