Tachymarptis melba melba - South-Europe through Turkey to Northwest-Iran. Winters to Central- and West-Africa;
Tachymarptis melba tuneti - Morocco through the Middle East to West-Pakistan;
Tachymarptis melba archeri - North-Somalia, Southwest-Arabia to Jordan and Israel;
Tachymarptis melba maximus - Rwenzori Mountains (Northeast-Congo and Uganda);
Tachymarptis melba africanus - Ethiopia to South Africa and Southwest-Angola;
Tachymarptis melba marjoriae - Northcentral-Namibia and Northwest-South Africa;
Tachymarptis melba willsi - Madagascar;
Tachymarptis melba nubifugus - Himalayas;
Tachymarptis melba dorabtatai - West-India;
Tachymarptis melba bakeri - Sri Lanka.
