Snow, Like the Sea

Snow, like the sea, changes day to day and sometimes moment to moment, depending on the conditions of its precipitation, the circumstances of the terrain where it falls, and the forces that alter and weather it. While it's easy for people who have to shovel the stuff, drive through it, and sometimes clear it from their roofs to wish it would just go away, they will also tell you there are times when the stuff can be supremely lovely. In this gallery you will find more Kinds of the white stuff than there are Inuit terms for snow. Water is the basis for life, and to my mind snow symbolizes that, in its ability to assume a variety of forms.
