I'm starting with Chittenden County boulders because so many are so photogenic, and so diverse. This may be a corollary of the area being the most populous and developed part of Vermont--the only area described as an urban compact. More building means more excavation and more subterranean finds. One of the best boulders in Addison County was moved there by a builder who told me he found it while working in Burlington and decided the two-ton gem (my term) would be a great lawn ornament. Places like South Burlington High School and Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 7 have amazing collections. But other counties will be represented here,
