Like the other gallery featuring one day's clouds in chronological sequence, this one from July 7, 2007 illustrates the variegated skies typical of Vermont, a place where weather systems clash, blend, and transform. But many of the clouds are at a lower altitude, so the meteorological processes differ. As with the other gallery sampling one day's clouds, this one has dedicated cloudspotters in mind--people to whom the invisible, as in updrafts, instability and wind shear, may be as significant as what is visible.
