Each year a new team of instructors arrives, often from several countries, and new students come, and the results are literally carved in stone. And thus are often very hard to move. There is a sculpture park where permanent donations and temporary displays can be found in any season, other intriguing works can be found around the site, and smaller pieces ornament the inside of the headquarters building, these being very portable. An associated gallery on the village part of Marble Street often features exhibitions. One way or another, whether it is "open" or not, the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center rewards visitors in all seasons.
