BX-SURFICIAL

The surfaces of Vermont boulders can be smooth, jagged, granular, and more—and on individual boulders there can be a variety of such textures. These pictures attempt to illustrate the diversity and visual interest of various surfaces. Some present contrasts within the same frame; some show interesting exteriors to compare with those of other boulders. I have selected eight each of four groupings: granular, contrasting, ferrous and varied.
