Not only are these little guys a staple food for several of the birds in the Refuge, it's a source of evening entertainment for the kids.

Give a kid a flashlight, net and bucket and you've got the ingrediants for a evening of fun. Kids will run the beach during the early evening chasing the sand crabs and see who's caught the biggest. At the end of the hunt, the crabs are released to hunt another night.
