Covered Bridge (B&W)

This is the Clarkson Covered Bridge located in Cullman County, Alabama. I haven't decided if I like the Black and White or Color versions.

This is a very well done, nostalgic image. You seem to like to take time with your landscape pictures. Have you ever tried 4x5? You might like it a lot.

Thanks for the comment. I cut my teeth on black and white photography in college shooting for the local paper. I've always felt a black and white image can be more powerful than a color image because it relies on the content for impact rather than the color.

Hi,
I personally prefer this image in Black & white. The reason being that it shows much more impact in impression of the bridges old age, contrasts from light to dark and depth of field is more noticeable too. Very nice!
