G'day Gary,

I have recently completed the text for a forthcoming book called "Mistletoes of southern Australia", being published by CSIRO Publishing (due in November). Rather than a monograph or scientific work, the intention is to provide an accessible summary of current knowledge about these plants to a wider audience. The book is arranged in five chapters, covering mistletoe biology, ecology, cultural significance and management. There is also a section on identification, including a two page account of each of the 46 mistletoe species found in southern Australia, each species depicted in a specially commissioned watercolour painting.

The remainder of the book is illustrated with a selection or photographs and the reason for my message is to request permission for using one of your photographs in the book. It's a great shot that shows a late instar larva of a Mistletoe Emperor Moth feeding, and would make a great addition to the text (I discuss the diversity of mistletoe specialist herbivores, with butterflies and moths featuring prominently)

If you ‘d rather not share this image, no worries at all. If you would like the photograph to be included in the book, I’d be most grateful if could send me a high resolution copy of it

I look forward to hearing from you,

sincerely
