I'm a sport scuba diver in New Brunswick, Canada. Here in the "northeast" we enjoy ocean water temps of 32-55F, and there are quite a few of us that dive locally year-round. We do much of our diving in the Bay of Fundy( http://www.bayoffundytourism.com/, which is home to the World's Highest Tides..! The tidal flow also supplies nutrients to a variety of marine life that thrives off our coast, and many of the pics on this photo site are an attempt to reflect the beauty and variety hidden in our water.
You can also contact me at http://www.cojodiving.com for information about scuba training, and what opportunities the world of diving can open up for you..!
to Greg,
vis.. average is about 15ft here, it will get to 25ft+ on very good days
If you are in St. Andrews, you should get a hold of the dive shop there.. Navy Island. Mack (the owner) runs charters to islands around Deer Island, and this time of year it would be decent for non-divers as well.. a lot of whales in the Bay!

Dive Shack in Saint John is another option to be hooked up with dive buddies. Deer Island is the best site for diving in NB, and heavily frequented by the divers here.

St. Andrews & Deer Island both have kayaking tour/rental options as well. St. Andrews is much better for walk-about/shopping stuff. There are a few shops on Deer Island as well with local crafts, just need to drive around the island to find them all.

Will be arriving St johns Aug 29 for a few days.Thinking of staying in St andrews or area, what area is most practical to access a few dive sites and appease my spouse with non diver activities. What is average vis.Potential buddy list.
There is no list around that I know of, mostly 'word of mouth'. For info on dive sites in NB you can join the discussion board athttp://www.nbdivers.ca , or contact one of the local dive shops. For PEI, the only resource I can think of is Black Dolphin Divinghttp://www.blackdolphindiving.ca/
