The red glow around the sphere is from a combination of regional fog and a sodium lamp on the distant bridge.

Surreal and Beautiful. A similar effect can be achieved by positioning the sun behind a person to get a glowing halo effect. I have never seen that concept applied in this way thought. Kudos.
