really great shot. I was here in May and am wondering how you took this shot without getting your feet wet? Were you in another punt?

Sean,

I agree with Likyin on this one -- it is one of my favorites as well. You mesh choices in time, light, and space simultaneously to express a silent, lingering moment in time. Abstraction also plays a major role here by hiding so much from our vision, leaving our imaginations to fill in the detail. This image brings to mind one of Bailey Zimmerman's great Venetian moments (see:http://www.pbase.com/image/23654926) -- another waterfront scene rich in mysterious mood and meaning.

Another one of my favourites!
Also telling secret stories in a peaceful night, providing a space of imagination: the little lovely boat is the key.
The texture of the lake's surface is amazing, by long time exposure, ripples were merged together and it appeared as calm as a mirror, but all the reflections were blured.

A feeling of illusion.
