:: Rocks and Ice ::
Shots from along the roadside after a big runoff during very cold weather. Compositions of rocks, ice, and flowing water. I didn't expect to find these shots, but I attempt to be open to the images that each day offers. This belief that there are always great photos out there, is a meditation that has served me well.
:: Buffalo River Area Waterfalls ::
A collection of waterfall pictures near our home. This includes seasonal runoffs and tiny waterfalls that occur in the woods after big rains.
:: Intimations of Nature ::
Mundane subjects now and then speak to us in unexpected ways. Now and then I take a picture that is apparently ordinary at its taking, but later it elicits deep compelling feelings. This is when we get it right. This is where nature photography becomes art, and perhaps scripture. These images represent this rough category, when I feel I am an artist, and not just a picture taker. This is my art gallery.
:: Water lily ::
Water lilies are in bloom and drawing photographers to the Missouri Botanical Garden, just a short walk from our new home in St. Louis.
