This day we visited the Betsy Sludder Nature Preserve in the Town of New Castle with Damon Brunette as our able walk leader. (Sorry folks, I forgot to take a group photo). We were able to document the presence of the following fungi and slime molds:
Agarics: Coprinus atrementarius, Megacollybia platyphylla, Pluteus cervinus, Phoiota aurivella, Russula sp., Pleurotus ostreatus
Boletes: Xerocomus (Boletus) chrysenteron
Polypores: Polyporus varius (elegans)
Ascomycetes: Xylaria polymorpha
Myxomycetes: Enteridium lycoperdon, Fuligo septica, Stemonitis sp.
