All went well. I was surprised that nine people showed up plus one baby (Dameon's) in the drizzling rain.
The atmosphere was enchantingly misty, moist, all to ourselves. The small size group made for a very friendly, like-minded mushroom foray; we stuck together--the trail map was tricky. Shannon was a good map-reader, better than me! Shannon and Damon helped do most of the identification. I will send you the list I made from their recall of what we saw. Thank you for correcting these, as I trust you will do.
Some great photos thanks to the convenience of the Apple phone--no need to lug the Nikon, I discovered. We had a great little outing, back in the parking lot by 11, as planned, followed by enjoyable sharing of good food.
We didn't display the gathered mushrooms, however, so I didin't see what else might have been collected.
