Wow! It is amazing what a couple of days of non-stop rain can do. What a walk! Goosepond State Park in Monroe, NY is a new venue for us, thanks to new(ish) member JJ Murphy. A nature writer, JJ joined the club last year, has been a student of COMA's Mushroom University course on boletes (with course instructor Gary Lincoff) this winter, and is now taking us to a great place for - MORELS! Thank you, JJ!



Besides morels (blacks, yellows, half-frees), we found plenty of Nolanea (Entoloma) verna; Psathyrella hydrophila; Coprinus micaceus; Flammulina velutipes; Pleurotus ostreatus; Stereum ostreatus; Stereum commune; Trametes versicolor; Exidia recisa; Exidia glandulosa; Pleuteus cervinus; Arcyria cinerea; Phellinus gilvus; Ganoderma applanatum; Mycena inclinata; Auricularia auricula
