Probably one of the most photographed places in the world!
Five days anniversary trip in this wonderful, noisy, loud, brash city just wasn't anywhere near enough!
New York City really was a wonderful place to visit. From Times Square through Greenwich Village down to the Financial District including Ground Zero, it is a mass of people rushing about and the city never seems to sleep.
We also managed trips out to Brooklyn and Queens, where we visited the excellent Riverview Restaurant (recommend it!!) and it has a magnificent panoramic view of Manhattan from the East.
The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Rockfeller Centre (recommend the trip to "The Top of the Rock" for the best views over Manhattan including the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building) were all on our itinerary. We rushed through Central Park and walked through Greenwich Village, Little Italy, Chinatown and Washington Square and visited the WWII warship Intrepid (which also displays one of the now defunct British Airways Concorde fleet).
Of course, we shopped too in Macys, Bloomingdales, B&H Photo and on Fifth Avenue!
If you've never been - I'd recommend you do if you can.
Colin - I have looked threw every one of these photos - color and bandw - and they are really really good! I am a native New Yorker and know the City and where you took everyone one of those photos....you gave them new life, new angles, new sponk that is just wonderful.
