AM June 23: It's Windjammer Days and the town is deserted! It's a day much like any other with people going fishing... |
...tourists sitting watching the world go by and... |
....desserted adirondacks at Ocean Point! |
June 23 is Pemaquid Poet's Day, so I go to the usual haunts... |
and even though it's a cloudy day, the flowers and |
 ...scenes are lovely! |
 Don't you think? |
June 24: Day Two of Windjammer Days and ... |
....though it's very overcast; foggy if anything, |
...the weather makes for lovely imagary and .... |
we end up at the Tugboat with a window on the harbor! |
They come parading into the harbor....one, two, three, four, five of them! |
Later we drive over to the other side of the harbor for another perspective. |
 |
The Old Nellie B and one of the schooners. |
What a way to enjoy the parade! |
But other people are still more interested in fishing! |
And some patriots watch in the moisture...no fear, old faithful will protect her! |
June 25: The morning after, the schooners are still in port and... |
,,,it is very foggy, but that just adds to... |
,,,the mystery of the harbor! |
There's something about fog that... |
...makes one appreciate weather even when... |
...it's not particularly wonderful (by most standards). |
 But I think I love this! |
And I'm not alone...other people are out shooting the vessels this AM! |
At Boothbay Harbor Boatyard, there's a square rigger, the Friendship of Salem, in for rehauling! |
