Leaving the Magnum Exhibit, I find these kids in the Museum lobby.	May 19: It's a gloriously crisp evening on Ocean Point with late day sun splashing everything it touches with light.	Spring on Ocean Point, Maine and...
...around the corner the last gasps of sun give way to....	....this.	Behind us is an interesting doorway....viva!
coastal crumudgeons!	May 20: We make an early morning return trip to Evergreen park to find warblers with...	....little success...but a robin isn't a bad standin.
Sad gravestone...a child of 10...gone too soon!	Face off...two small dogs 'arm wrestle' to see who will maintain dominance.	Then we go back to Edward's where the flowers are in full bloom and...
...the hummers are BUSY! This one is taking a break from...	...the hard work of hovering over...	....yummy hummer juice!
These little jewels buzzed around like worker bees!	And a female tananger visited as well.	May 25: We meet Rich and Frances in Kennebunkport for a celebration of....
Ron's birthday.	Kennebunkport is the President's Family Summer retreat and a quaint village.	With Classic New England architecture.

Beth, enjoying here yet another beautiful gallery of your shots! The morning sunrise and fog shots are perfection! and so many others that grab me also, the window shot is vibrant, a visual declaration that it is "Summer!!" and loved the heron keeping early morning watch over the boats......he looks big,old, and wise, and not too happy about his "space" being invaded by any early morning activity :-).....I was up in July for two weeks, and had LOTS of fog, but it goes hand in hand with the place and I never tired of it....keep the wonderful shots coming please!! ps Saw Brud sitting on his King Brud chair along Townsend Avenue...he is still friendly and such a well loved,traditional, and necessary part of what makes Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay Harbor.....R.A. GREAT SHOTS HERE FOR THE BEGINING OF THE MONTH OF JUNE.....LOVELY...AND WISH I WAS THERE TO WALK THRU THE LUPINE AND LET IT SURROUND ME WITH IT'S EVERLASTING BEAUTY....JUST TOO BAD THE BLOOMING ISN'T EVER LASTING.....JUNE IN BOOTHBAY REMINDS ME IT IS TIME FOR LUPINE, LOBSTER BOAT RACES AND WINDJAMMER DAYS...THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE BEAUTIFUL REMINDERS OF THIS SEASON...BE WELL BETH AND CARRY ON :-).....MY BEST, RUTH ANN SZOSTEK

That problem for Brud started this past summer I believe, and hopefully he may be able to continue selling his "Brud dogs" in the future. I have read about it once or twice in the BBH Register and hope it gets resolved in his favor. I don't think there has been a final decision made yet. Hi Ruth, You may have had your last 'Brud Dog!' He told us yesterday that the town 'fathers' may not renew his lisence next summer. He may be a fixture of the past in BBH. Sad! Beth

Thank you for your prompt answer on the Wedding House. Yes, it all sounds so familiar to me, and since I have not been to Kennebunkport,then that means I must have read about it in Yankee or DownEast I subscribe to both for years. I can't believe I pulled up your new shots and there was Brud!!! Lord, he IS a character, and nice man to talk to, and it is good to see him looking so well. On my return to BBH every summer,seeing Brud at his cart across from the library gives me the feeling that all is well with the world, and I have arrived "home". My own children since they were young,and now my grandkids MUST have a "Brud dog" every time we go into town during the day, whether we are going to eat somewhere else or not..we get the dogs first..grin. P.S. He plays the spoons at the Band concerts on the library lawn on Thursday nights in the summer, and at other functions :-) Thanks for the memories Beth...it makes my time here, when I can't be up on OP, easier to endure!

I looked it up and it IS in Kennebunkport. This is what the placque on the side of the house says about it, "In 1825 the shipbuilder George Washington Bourne (1801-1856) brought his bride, Jane, to this new brick Federal-style home. Inspired by Milan's Gothic Cathedral, Bourne started the house decorations in 1852, using only hand tools. He completed the work shortly before his death. By century's close, the name "Wedding Cake House" was widely applied. The house was completely refurbished in 1983-1984 by Mary and Anne Burnett, first owners not of the family."

The Wedding Cake House is in either Kennebunkport or Kennebunk, Maine. Can't remember which. It's been written about in Yankee and Downeast Magazines numerous times, so if you haven't driven by, perhaps you've seen articles about it in print. Glad you're enjoying the photos! I'm having fun taking them! BEth

Beth, your winter and Holiday shots are wonderful to see. I especially loved the colored lights in the window of a shot in the Portland series. It is fun to see Miss Piggy in her winter getups as she is always enjoying sun and warmer temps the times of the year I come up. The Wedding Cake House looks familiar to me, I have either seen it or read about it somewhere, can you refresh my memory on it's location? Thanks again for your interesting and beautiful photos. It is difficult to pick favorites, for sure.

Hi Beth...I am still enjoying all the photos you add as time passes, loved the Fascination of the Ocean photos taken at Pemaquid...that is one of my favorite spots for seeing what power the ocean can churn up and your shots during that blow were fantastic. I hope you will put on your shots of the current storm we along the Eastern Seaboard are experiencing..I know they will be wonderful. I was glad to see you have put the neon orange scarf on Scout..you can't be too careful with hunters out and about these days. Keep up the great work. R.A. Actually it was MOTHER Christmas who brought this treasure, Francois! I picked up a used 1D from someone upgrading to the 1Ds. There ARE advantages to waiting and being willing to pick up the crumbs from those who must be on TOP of the tech curve every 6-12 months! This is quite a camera and I think it will keep me happy for quite some time! Beth
