 July 3: We help Marta get moved into her new residence. |
 Roll that tape, Lorelei! |
 Then as Marta and Ron return the truck.... |

 Then it's out to lunch where... |

 July 5: Rich and Frances come up for a post July 4 visit and we.... |
 ....lunch at the Coop...always good! |
 July 7: Lorelei and Marta come for the weekend. |
 Pizza and Moxie are a hit! |

 Then it's time for drawing and.... |
 ...a movie (after a shower). |

 June 8: We play with hats.... |

 July 10: I've been playing with 'extract' in PhotoShop. |

 While Marta's busy, Poppa and I take Lorelei to... |
 ....the Portland Children's Museum. |

 July 12: Playing w/ PhotoShop again! |
 Is this the way we're going? DEAL with climate change NOW!!(Dinosaur, T-Rex, monster) |
 Maybe it's time to deal with Global Warming!!?? |
 July 13: Another Marta/Lorelei visit... |
 ...she brings a book to read... |

 Animal crackers...yummmmm! |
 But the TV is seductive! |
 Getting PJ's on. |
 Wiggle Worm makes it hard! |
 Then after a visit to the dock, it's time to come in. |
 July 14: Sesame Street is fun to watch and brings back memories! |
 Aren't these pudgy hands and legs cute? |
 After a 'Jumping Bean' game on the bed, we're all laughter! |
 Time to be quiet and draw with Poppa. |
 Then it's off to the beach. |
 What fun! |
 But the water's cold, but.... |
 ...not for long when... |

 ....willing to play and when it get too cold, |
 Then she runs in to get warm. |
 there's water to pour and sand to .... |
 Pour that water! |
 Carrying heavy water isn't easy. |
 Marta & Lorelei start digging a 'bath tub.' |
 It's almost ready....lots of hard work! |

 Let's clean the sand off before we go home and .... |
 ,...visit with the dog down the beach. |
 Local kids walk out to the island to.... |
 ....jump off into the water! Fun! |

 June 15: Begins at home drawing. |
 Where are you, Mom? |
 It's a blankey fight...covering Mom up! |
 Then having a big laugh about it. |
 Then we head out to the Alpace farm where... |
 ....the alpaca's stay.... |
 ...at arm's length...playing hard to get! |
 So close, but so far away! |
 There's a nice lily pond at the farm. |
 Then it's time to eat. |
 June 20: We go to Pemaquid, Liz and Michaele's favorite Maine place! |
 The day starts out foggy and overcast, but soon.... |
 ....the overcast starts to break up. |
 And it's another gorgeous Pemaquid day with interesting... |
 ...flowers.... |
 ....boats.... |
 ....and scaffolding around a ..... |
 ....stripped lighthouse. Neat! |

 Everyone enjoys sitting on the ledges watcing the waves crash and smelling the salt.... |
 ....air on a gorgeous day. |
 July 21: We go to the Botanical Gardens, but first it's time to use some OFF, and.... |
 ...get the walking stick out of the van. |
 Now we're ready... |
 ...to explore these lovely gardens! |

 Then we say, "Good-bye," to the beautiful plants. |
 And stop at the Tugboat for lunch. |
 July 22; Lorelei checks her bankbook .... and the money given her by Michaele and Liz. |
 After lunch we head out to the beach. |
 Where Lorelei is too excited to sit still! |
 This doggie is making the rounds at the beach. |
 Oops! The suit is just a bit stretched out. |
 Lorelei isn't so sure she likes crabs. |
 Cleaning the sand off .....the cold way! |
 Kiss me, DOGGIE! |
 Aunt Lizzie is great fun to play with! |
 She doesn't mind a girlie who likes.... |
 ....to climb.... |
 ...even when she's wet and cold! |
 Time to clean up and get ready to go home. |
 The beach is thinning out! |
 Then we go home and watch 'The Pig Movie.' |
 June 23: We celebrate Michaele's birthday. |
 July 24: We start a foggy day |
 ....with a cruise .... |
 ...past lobsterboats.... |
 ....to Burnt Island. |
 Where we learn about how a lighthouse was lived in & run in 1950. |
 Actors and actresses play the parts of mother, |
 daughter and.... |
 ....sister; ..... |
 ...barefoot---footloose and fancy free in a Maine.... |
 ...summer! |
 Thistle is among the island plants. |
 Keeper's house is beautiful with all it's angles and rooflines. |
 The sun comes out and tourist boats ply the harbor beyond the light as.... |
 ...the keeper explains how a kerosene lamp provided the light... |
 ....that powered the Fresnell lens in the lighthouse. |
 More boats leave the harbor with tourists going on other journeys. |
 This small light.... |
 ....is especially pretty with tiger lilies blossoming nearby. |
 As is the harbor. |
 Ron sits and enjoys the view. |
 The lightkeeper's 'office' with ship to shore phone and typewriter for keeping ledgers. |
 The diningroom. |
 What a stove sits in the kitchen! |
 This is the boat we rode over in. |
 Kayaks sit on the pier. |
 Kids race each other in small sailboats as we head back. |
 The Bay Lady passes in front of us...the most gorgeous sailboat in the whole harbor! |
 Then Liz and Michaele shop in Boothbay Harbor when we get in...Ron tags along. |
 We top the day off with a feast at the Boothbay Lobster Wharf! |
 July 25: On the way to the airport, we stop for lunch at Red's. |
 Then to catch some cool breezes, we stop at Portland Head Light. |
 There's a beautiful, blue sky and... |
 ...small, puffy clouds on the horizon... Michaele and Liz enjoy the view! |
 At the full blossom of summer there are flowers... |
 ....growing on the grounds. |
 What a sight! |
 Then we stop for pizza where a couple of kids enjoy watching the cook working the beehive oven! |

 Before we head out for the airport, it's one last posed photo! |
 July 27: Marta and Lorelei arrive again and we go to.... |
 ...the beach again...a favorite thing to do! |
 Fly, Lorelei! Fly! |
 Then she plays hard to get in the car! |
 July 28: Time to go to a playground in the heat and humidity! |
 What fun, but... |
 ...sometimes a helping hand is.... |
 ....needed! |
 Other times, it's just fun to ride alone! |
 A water break is needed. |
 Then it's back to heated climbing and.... |
 ...... |
 ....checking out the 'neighborhood.' |
 A good swing at least feels like a breeze! |
