Feb. 3: Maggie (Edward, Lynne, Ron and I) head out for Sebago and the fishing derby. |
First we make a stop at the winery...yummmm!! |
Derby equipment is loaded and ready to take home. |
We walk out onto the lake to see... |
 ....ice fishing shacks.... |
 ....up close! |
 |
And then we discover interesting patterns in the.... |
 ....melting ice. |
Back on shore...where ARE you, Maggie? |
 "I'm right here!" |
Feb. 14: More WINTER!! It snowed...about 12"...then poured rain on top of it! |
It melted from the ground up and the snow collpsed where it melted. |
Making for very interesting shapes and shadows.... |
 ...in blue/green and.... |
 ....purple. Whirlpool in snow! |
 Nature-made moguls! Pretty neat! |
Feb. 16: Jeanne and Lorelei watch TV together. |
 And she CAN smile! |
Then it's time to play and.... |
 .... |
 ...eat! |
Feb. 17: We take a walk into the Harbor where it's cold even for the birds! |
....and more so for sea life! |
 Pretty Cold!! |
We meet a local character on his way home across the footbridge...we stop to talk. |
 Another perspective |
 |
Feb. 17; We get out to breakfast and then a trip to .... |
 ...the bookstore where... |
 ..a book about.... |
....princesses holds attention for a llllooooonnnnnggggg time! |
And is so big that it takes legs AND lap to contain it! |
All those pages are hard to turn! |
Playing Peek-a-Boo from behind Mom! |
And shopping for dollhouse furniture. |
Then it's back out into the cold to find the car! |
Feb. 18 It's time for a ride to Ocean Point to... |
...sit in the doorway and let the wind blow one's hair and... |
...be blown while watching Lorelei! |
Taking photos of the scene is .... |
 ....fun too! |
It was pretty windy and wild! |
It's been a busy day that makes one... |
 ....thirsty! |
 Feb. 22: Summer's Long Gone! |
 And it's snowing again and ..... |
 ....the roads are slippery. |
Not only do we have snow on the ground, but we've got it on the brain as well! |
Feb. 23: We drive into Portland to the Art Store and the... |
....museum to see the Bisbee Exhibit and... |
then we climb the stairs to the other levels where we see... |
Bravo photography exhibit and enjoy... |
views of the building itself. Yes, this building, .... |
...... as so often seems to happen, is a work of art itself! |
Then it's on to the Fourth level where work from |
colleges and universities in the area are on display. |
And we end with lunch in the cafe. |
