 December 1, 2008: Scout enjoys being outside as he... |
 ...recovers with rest. |
 He doesn't look TOO badly....right? |
 Dec. 5: Festival of LIghts day starts at the Opera House where... |
 gingerbread house making is a fun thing to do! |
 Mom and the lady at the table help! |
 Then there are lots of decorated trees... |
 ....for sale; this one has a typical Maine motif. |
 But Lorelei's favorite is the cookie tree! |

 And dough decorations are inexpensive. |

 Then we head to town and run into ... |

 Lorelei jumps from painted rectangle to painted rectangle. |
 On the waterfront, lobstermen get into the spirit. |
 And Lorelei looks for Dora the Explorer on.... |

 Then it's time for a bit of pole spinning. |

 The Novelty is decked out in holiday decor. |

 Then people hang out waiting for Santa's arrival! |
 And there are lots of doggies in the crowd to.... |

 More fishermen getting ready. |
 As the crowd gathers at the harborfront. |
 Then Voila! There he is with his entourage. |
 With Mrs. Claus on his arm... |
 ...they march up the dock. |
 ....to greet the crowd. |
 Marta and Lorelei wait expectantly. |
 Hey! Santa! |
 Wave to me!! |
 And give hugs to the children. |
 Later the same day; after a nap.... |
 ....we go for the tree lighting at the library and Santa arrives w/ Mrs. Claus. |
 Lorelei isn't so sure she wants to see him, so... |
 ....Pappa makes a good shield! |
 The local band plays Christmas Carols while.... |
 .....Santa hands out candy canes...he's not so frightening after all! |
 And the library hands out fancy cookies....yummmmmm! |
 Surely is tasty! |
 And the festivities.... |

 .....music! It was a good day! |
 Then it's time to go....more dogs!! |

 Dec. 13: We go to Damariscotta for lunch |
 ....at the King Eider.... |
 Waiting for lunch.... |
 After sandwiches, it's time for cake! |
 Shared delicious lemon marscapone cake! |
 Then after one more bite......there is more coloring... |
 ....drawing a blueberry pie and .... |

 ....home! What always comes after dessert? HOME! |
 Dec. 13: Time to start decorating...better late then never! |
 Little girls get busy while they wait for supper. |
 A Maisy book passes the time on an empty tummy. |
 Then it's time to eat as we watch Noggin.' |
 When Noggin's on, it's hard to pay attention to anything else! |
 Dec. 14: The decor comes inside with a tree that Marta surprised us with! |
 Ron puts the lights up and.... |

 ....the cranberry beads and.... |

 No matter that they all end up in one small space. |

 Then it's time for some fun.... |

 Almost the first day of winter: Dec. 20: Kitty time! |

 Dec. 24: They're baaacccckkkkk! They came with pets! |

 It's time to add just a few.... |

 Then Mom says, "Let's open a gift from school." |
 "Oh, look, a calendar...... |

 "Let's start putting them in!" |

 Then Papa and Lorelei find other uses for the bow! |
 Dec. 24: Clay and Lorelei get bundled up.... |
 ....for a jaunt.... |
 ...into the snow. |
 Later, after a nap (which explains the naked top) Lorelei checks out the gifts. Remember those days? |
 Clay and Marta help to get dinner on the table. |
 And then it's time to.... |
 ...dance and ..... |
 ...take a few photos. |
 Lorelei remembers that there are cookies on the tree! |
 Ymmmmm!! This looks like a tasty one! |
 Dora gets out for a roll around the floor! |

 Then it's time to fill a plate with goodies for Santa. |
 Dec. 25: Santa has been here, but everyone is awake BUT Lorelei! |
 Just waiting for the gilr to come downstairs. |
 Finally she's awake! |
 Marta checks out Little Lorelei...the doll who looks just like her friend! |
 Clay reads her book and.... |
 ....Marta reads the note from Santa. |
 Lorelei hands out gifts. |
 She can actually ride this unicorn! Princess Unicorn she's called! |
