July 31: Somehow this gets associated with Ron & Jordan, but we get our first glimpse of the mountains....always a magical momen	Then we pass by the Lewis & clark Monument on the Blackfoot Reserrvation	More Mountains
Mts. in black and white.	The land is just gorgeous!	Indian territory and teepees.
By the national Park, a Post Office...	and then it's into the mountains where it is getting dark!	A few more mins. of light at Belton Lodge.
Aug. 1: We are in a observation car again on our way to breakfast where...	...we eat w/ a view of the Columbia River.	My but it is dry!
A riverboat plies the river.	They even have grain elevators here.	And lumber goes down the river still.
	But they use this stretch for wind farms.	First glimpse of Mt. Hood tells us we're getting close.
We are HERE and Ron needs to document that I am indeed along for the trip!	Union Station...	...and i document that he's along for the trip too!
Out to lunch with Ronnie and time to show him a new camera.	Artichoke in his garden proves he's got a green thumb just like his uncle and GrandDad!	Later: Olive makes herself at home....comfortably!
Ronnie in his usual spot.	Making tea? Not sure.	Chyna soaks up the attention while she can.
Rinsing blueberries from...	....the yard.	Ron reads the newspaper.
Jordan is home from work!! Time to kabitz in the kitchen.	And take a look at the...	....rings! Very nice! They made a set from Jordan's Grandma's...
....wedding ring. Something old.	Dahlias in the front yard...	...then it's time to go out....jump in Olive!

Then it's time to go to work...Day 2....	Aug. 1: Growlers on the back deck rail.	We head into Portland...
The old newspaper office has an interesting building.	Then we lunch at...	Jake's...
...which was an old hotel, but is now....	...a very nice restaurant.	Then we stop at Powell's Booksgtore...an obligatory stop whenever in Portland.
Ron sands the 'guestbook.'	Ron reads the newspaper in the backyard.	Olive begs to catch a frisby.
The back of the house.	We remember a recent wedding we attended.	Chyna sits on the back stoop.
Getting ready to head for Widby Aug. 2...	Jordan packs the car...	...and we drive to Seattle.
...then on to the ferry to Whidby Island.		onboard.
	Then we have lunch in Langley.	....and check into our room at the Boatyard Inn.
It's a nice room with a view of the water.	Ron and Ronnie on the deck.	Aug. 4 dawns foggy.
but it looks like the sun is shining in the room.	Ronnie picks us up tro have breakfast and meet Jordan's...	breakfast w/ everyone...
Dad and Amanda....later at the farm where Jordan grew up. Randy raises polo ponies.	Billie is the resident sheep dog.....wonder where the sheep are?	Deer Lake Lagoon is on his property.
Apparently this deck was added last winter.	Then we head back into Langley.	Ron reads the plack that explains the sculpture.
We both get in in this reflection.	It's a quaint little neighborhood.	Daisies outside...
...this beach is in front of our motel which looks like....	,....this!	Aug. 4 we all get together at Jordan's Mom and Tim's house for a feast! Thenk you, Tim, for all the cooking!
It's Jordan's closest family..	Ron's friends and family and...	many dogs.
It's a beautiful afternoon for it!	And they have a lovely backyard in which...	....to entertain!

....I can't keep every name straight.	The family dog rests through the confusion!	As Cheryl chats with a guest.

Then it's time to eat....	fill your plates with delicious food and..
...find a place to sit...	...at this long family table!	Closer to the action..

Heather and John kiss....Heather is a friend of Ron's who is officiating at the ceremony tomorrow.

More family.	Aug. 5: Ron shows up at our room in full regalia...ready for the day!	Dad and prudy get ready to leave.
He meets the crew outside the..	wedding site....Jordan's	granddad's house on the beach!

We all get a sniff.	The officient talks about hands...how they will change, but	remain a constant!
