Mid-April brings a beautiful day on the Maine coast to get out with brothers and 'shoot' the scene! Rockland is one of Maine's working waterfronts where the fishing business still predominates over tourism.
Ron, Edward, Butch and I meet in Rockland to...
....explore the working waterfront where...
...tugboats dock and...
...the fishing fleet ties up.
Sometimes it just looks like a tangle.
Other times, it's quite orderly.
All of the docks aren't in the water yet, but...
...they provide some interesting color and texture just the same.
Close-up of prop and ....
...keel of old 'beached' fishing vessel, the ...
....Kork.
The Thunder Bay at the Coast Guard station...
...and these 'beached' buoys make for interesting...
...subjects.
Then we explore the docks where bait is being loaded...
...and lobsterboats launched...
....into the harbor for a summer's work.
At the yard, there are still lots of pleasure boats in storage...
