 May 1: After days of rain, the sun comes out and.... |
 ,,,it's a perfect day for a ride ....to Thomaston where... |
 ...one end of the street is lined with churches. |

 May 2: Brunswick with Edward on a spring evening....time... |

 From inside the mill, the bridge is almost as pretty, but... |
 ...witih the sun going down, the back of the mill isn't as spectacular. |

 May 6; We head out to Portland to... |

 Until we go to Ipswich where the grandparents were interred. |

 walk up the street and find the Lithgow Library. What a place!! |
 We picnic at Fort Western's grounds. |
 Last stop is the cemetery where the grave is .... |
 ...trimmed and flowers placed. |
 Then we check out the cemetery. |
 May 23: Rich and Frances come up for a visit....eating blueberry muffins. |

 Veterans all in a row! |
 Girl Scouts get into the act as well. |
 Then crowds watch the ceremonies from the Library lawn as.... |
 ....people look on and vets salute. |
 Little people carry flags; and... |
 ....big people carry flags. |
 And some people pay no attention! |
 Along the parade route children nurse their refreshments while waving flags. |
 The color guard prepares for a salute on the.... |
 ....Public Wharf. |
 And as the National Anthem plays some people fight back tears from behind their dark glasses while... |
 ....children stand at attention with hands over hearts...well, they try! |
 A day later, all is put away and forgotten! |

 May 30: The end of a lovely month and time to get out and about to find... |
