Oct. 3: It's a lovely morning despite the overcast! |
Sometimes it's even prettier, so we decide to go the southern route...bordering the park. |
 Amazing! |
And with trees changing color it's even prettier! |
We pass through the Blackfeet Reservation. |
And it snows! Yes....SNOW! But it doesn't stick to the road---thank GOD! |
Route 2 takes the train route and here's the shed roof of the train route. |
 More pretty scenery. |
We stop at the Izaac Walton Inn; one of the old lodges of the park. |
Here a 'ranger' guards the gift shop. |
And the fireplace is decorated wtih snow gear. |
The Inn from the outside. |
Then it's back to the park and the lake. |
Fall leaf in the surf. |
We walk the Trail of the Cedars and find lovely vegetation. |
Then on the way back, I brave the bears to shoot... |
.... the deep, dark woods! |
Oct. 4: Couldn't add a new page, so am adding to yesterday's page. A biker enjoys his ride in the park. |
Back to the park with Fall leaves... |
 ....and overcast. |
The base of Lake macDonald. |
Signs of beaver...couldn't see 'his' lodge, but this tree was obviously a beaver victim! |
More of the deep, dark woods! |
And is this a bear's den? Probably not! |
Though it's hard to capture, one must try... |
 ...and try and... |
....try! Wow! Wodnerful place full of big, bad bears! |
Then a stop in Kalispell for lunch runs us by these 'White Supremacists"(according to the local news) |
Letting us know why we should be against abortion...MEN! |
Between Kalispell and Whitefish, there are pretty farms. |
This RV park offeres Urts for your rental pleasure. |
The Flathead River outside Whitefish...on the way to the mountains. |
NOT that we could see. Maybe next time? |
 Big Sky Country.... |
....isn't so different from anywhere else...Walmart, Office Max and other businesses can be found here too, but... |
...they punctuate the mountaiin skyline in ways that seem more obscene then at home where you have to travel to see them! |
 More Big Sky! |
