An Adams County home exploded into flames Monday afternoon, killing one person and injuring another.
The home, in the 5200 block of Lowell Boulevard near Interstate 76, was on fire when police arrived at 4:15 p.m.
The blast blew one person out of the house and into the driveway, said Sgt. Louis Dixon, of the Adams County Sheriff's Office. The man is expected to survive his injuries, Dixon said.
A body was found inside the destroyed house after the fire was extinguished. The victim's name was not released.
Police had not determined the cause of the explosion and fire late Monday.
