A few years back, my wife had a Sony DSC-S30. She's fabric artist and needed to be able to take pictures of her quilts and other art. At some point she needed a camera with more megapixels, so I inherited her little Sony. I fell in love with taking pictures. I enjoyed the DSC-S30 for a bit and decided I needed a camera with more megapixels and optical zoom. That's when I bought the Olympus SP550-UZ I use now. I like the point and shoot because I can take it with me everywhere I go.
I take pictures that touch something in me. If I have a goal or a mission it would be that the same would happen to those who view them.
I'm strictly an amateur, but I do want to learn. Any and all constructive criticism is not only welcome, but encouraged. It's obvious by viewing just about anyone's gallery her on PBase that there are very many talented photographers. They say in sports that if you want to improve, you play with those better than yourself. I'm hoping the same philosophy applies to photography.
