Catherine, her husband Ed and their Golden Retriever Zerrin, live in the beautiful town of Cochrane, Alberta. Catherine became interested in photography at an early age while taking photos and developing them, with her dad, in a small darkroom under the stairs of the house. After retiring from a career as a Special Education teacher in 2006, Catherine was once again able to enjoy her all time favorite hobby. She owns several Canon cameras, including a G11 and a Rebel 50D.

She enjoys taking photos of local events, the mountains, Lake Diefenbaker area in Saskatchewan and going on day trips in Alberta. When Catherine joined the Cochrane Camera Club, she jokingly referred to herself as a PHD Photographer....Press Here Dummy -meaning she used the Auto setting most of the time. After joining the CCC she is making the switch to manual settings due to the great mentorship, monthly speakers and the outings enjoyed by the club.

Catherine is the Past President of the Cochrane Camera Club.
