Bruce Smith

I am a software developer by day, and an amateur photographer and videographer at other times.

I first got interested in photography in a serious way in university, when I bought an SLR. When it stopped working about 15 years later, my interest level wained some. I got excited about photography again when I bought my first digital camera in 2002. It allowed me to combine two of my hobbies, photography and home computers. I subsequently bought a digital SLR in 2006.

I particularily enjoy landscape photography. Living in Cochrane, which is so close to the Rocky Mountains, makes it easy to find beautiful locations.

I am married with two grown daughters. My wife and both daughters also enjoy photography. Both daughters are involved in show jumping (we own four adult horses and 2 foals), and as a result I find myself taking photos and shooting video of them and their friends during various competitions, and of the two foals as they grow.
