PUNGO'S STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

Pungo is not a town or village. It is a part of the city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, (which encompasses MOST of Atlantic coastline of the state of Virginia . . Norfolk is on the Chesapeake Bay & the Eastern Shore is further north)But you would think it was its own private entity the way it is set apart from the rest of the state.

Each Memorial Day it holds a four day Strawberry festival with everything known to man that can be made out of strawberries. And then the fields close for another year. =)

Yu have to visit this place either at srawberry season or peach season and ride that ferry across from NC like I did I was amazing never seen a small city in Va Beach before. I had the best time thereI want to go back at strawwberry season if i can remember when it is or if you all cansend me an email letting me know. Your Carolina Friend Rita

Virginia Beach accounts for about only 15 miles of coast line, as the crow flies, from the North Carolina Line to Cape Henry. Nice photos.

you forgot the eastern shore of virginia, which is additional shoreline besides virginia beach
