02 JUN 06

My grandfather's pocket watch
It's the only thing my dad got when his father passed

And it's the only thing I have of my dad
It's not the first time I've shot it . . .I did it once before in 2004

the watch is here

Canon PowerShot S2 IS
0.60s f/3.5 at 6.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I love this shot. Very soft and great angle. Would love to blow it up and hang it on my wall.

This is the one thing I am hoping to get from my father's home but sadly it looks like I wont be able to get it or much of anything else. I love pocket watches and I love the feelings they engender. This one is a beauty.

Nice! Does it work? A beautiful timepiece and a lovely photo of it.

Nice shot and it is wonderful to have something of your fathers to pass on .........

It's for all the time you had together, this is truly beyond value.
I'm getting all choked up now :)

Lovely, lovely photo and story. It is the first time that I have seen my husband's name in script on a watch. Usually it is block letters. (His name is Elgin).

How wonderful to have that. I had my Grandfather's 1874 watch.... someone broke into my house and stole it a few years back! I miss it. They are great heirlooms.
