30 SEP 05

The Neptune Festival culminates this weekend with the unveiling of a sculpture created by this man, Paul DiPasquale
I happened across him and his crew putting the final touches on his masterpiece and, of course, snapped away.

The inset shows the actual height and offers some on-lookers for perspective. The head of Neptune is over six feet tall.

Before I left he asked if he could see the ones I took since I had an "interesting perspective" and seemed more intent than the other passers-by as I composed pictures.

SURE! says I (I'd say we traded cards . . but I don't HAVE any!!). . .

and I'll have the others up soon for ya'all . . . but I'm headed back to the oceanfront for the rest of the festivities =)

What an impressive sculpture and a great catch of the artist. I'll bet he loved your shots. You can always scribble your phone number on a kleenex out of your purse. That's my business card. :)
