26 february b

I used to wear this every day as a teen, and as a young adult.
As I got older & supposedly wiser, I wore it less often

young kids to hold & deal with, things to get it caught on, sweaters snagged, fabrics ripped, skin abraded, yadda yadda yadda)

So it got put away

Now I'm older & I'm an idiot instead of wiser

I found this in a drawer when I was searching for a PaD item
Now is when I really should be wearing it cuz ANYthing could happen & who would know
Do I wear it?
No . . . it's inconvenient with my current profession & mantra of infection control
(those in healthcare will know what I mean)

SOOOOOOOOOOOO . . . this gives me an excuse for
A TATTOO . . . RIGHT!?!
(thought I was gonna get all maudlin, didn't ya!) LOL!

Wow, that's a pretty old one.
Mine is showing it's age too. I need to reorder one soon.

Very well done.

Ya know.. I never thought of having a tattoo. And I agree, those bracelets are so darn cheap. I had thought of getting one made for me that said I was a type 2 diabetic and have three stents, and a 2 implants in my eyes. :) All that doesn't fit on one bracelet.

you could put the tatoo somewhere cool, like lower back, or hip, or shoulder. nowaitthatwouldn'tworkthennoonecouldseeit, nevermind. :)

I've got a card in my wallet, but you've got a point . .who's gonna go rummaging thru a wallet to find a card in an emergency . . .thus the TATTOO idea =)

Great B&W subject and photo. Maybe you should put it in your wallet or wear it as a long necklace indside your shirt. I'd hate to be the medic who killed you because he didn't have this important piece of medical information. Apparently you haven't needed it, but maybe you will.

this is a great subject for B&W week. Great job.

I love the photo and explanation.

Okay, maybe I am the idiot here or perhaps you are being private and I am being nosy, but I am not sure I know why you wore this as a kid and why you should wear it as an adult. Did I miss something? Am I being too nosy?

I like the photo. Without your story, it tells its own story in a way. The same questions would come to mind only more so because I would wonder where the person is who was wearing this. Of course with your story I don't have to wonder about that because I know exactly where he is... he's hiding under some covers somewhere shaking like a baby because he is afraid of a silly needle! Novocaine anyone?

Ummmmmm . . highly unlikely with the tattoo . . I pass out at the sight of needles =P

Nice image! Love the tone, as well as the clarity and lighting...
