shell

Usually found nestled in the beach sand, this one was covered with a lacy, delicate layer of snow right at the water's edge . . too pretty to pick up & too pretty not to take home . . on film.

The shell is beautiful and the sand peeking through reveals what is coming - that the star of this show, the snow, is a fleeting, beautiful, marvelous thing.

Great shot! The contrast of sand, shell and snow, which evokes so different seasons works very well. The subtle colors on the shell are just great!

I live on the West Coast where we complain when it gets down to 40 degrees in the winter! Seeing snow on the BEACH just seems unusual for me! During my whole life I associate the California Sun with the beach! :)

Beautiful shot, the snow helps to bring the shell out nicely.

ahhhh.... you shoot with my second favorite camera and you do good job with it too, I see. This is a very nice image, and I agree that the hint of sand that is visible really adds to it. Nicely spotted and captured. Thank you for commenting on my images. The secret with my cupboard shot what that I had recently cleaned it so that this is one of the only photographs I will ever take of it -- it will look like a dumpster again soon enough! - liza

great colors on the shell, glossy texture as well, with a hint of the sand below
