26 DEC 08 WESTOVER PLANTATION

*The Westover Plantation* was built circa 1730 in what is now Charles City County, VA, USA.
And it is still today a working farm.

The current owners are nice enough to allow the *Wildlife Center of Virginia* to release rehabilitated eagles back in to the environment.
Their farm is directly across the James River from one of the largest Eagle Roosting areas on the east coast.

The release of a ten-month old eaglet was the reason I was there.

Looks like nothing has changed in almost 300 years. Nice to know there are havens for wildlife to be free.

Ahh, so this is what it looks like - I never go any further than the fields!

Impressive plantation. Will you show us pix of the eaglet?
