These two woodpeckers are very cunning. When I don't have my camera, they land on a low limb in clear view, as if to taunt me. When I do have my camera, they land a bit higher up in the tree. When I walk around to get a better view of them, they quickly move to the other side of the limb they are on or move even higher onto a limb that has many small branches between them and me. I was EXTEMELY lucky to get these shots. Maybe they will get used to me (and my camera) the more I'm out there looking at them and not play hide and go seek.
