Walled Villages in Hong Kong

A walled village (³ò§ø) is a group of traditional Chinese houses that completely surrounded by thick defensive walls to protect the residents against thieves and enemies. The houses are tightly nestled together, with narrow lanes among them and usually the people living in the walled village are families.

This is another side of Hong Kong that amazingly contrasts to the modern high-rise buildings.
