Kyoto, Japan view map

This lady was working in a very small shop, tailoring clothes for children.

I'm impressed that every lady I saw in Japan dressed very well.

I have no doubt that her work is done to perfection, each and every piece must meet a high standard of quality. She is probably one of hundreds of thousands of sub-contractors who make pieces for larger companies, who then assemble the whole garments. Japan is known for that type of work, where workers are paid by the pieces they produce... The reverse side of the medal is that this labor is not governed or protected, the labor conditions are sometime horendous, and they have to work very long hours... 24/7. You've captured this moment to perfection CM, bravo.
