Kyoto, Japan view map

Kyoto Station, opened in 1997, is the second-largest train station building in Japan.
It incorporates a shopping mall, hotel, movie theater and
Isetan department store under one 15-story roof.

The architecture of the station exhibits many characteristics of futurism,
for example the steel frame shown on this picture.

The train station has 39 platforms and has become the most important transportation hub in Kyoto.

Very nice structure in steel for the roof ,the calculation got some good computer and Engen...but the design is top.It is diffcult otosee the dimensions when I look for the persons on the ground ,so big this hall.I knew Kyoto for the Traditionnal Building not for comtemporain and modern buildings.
