Kobe, Japan view map

I enjoyed a tasty "Kobe Beef" dinner set at this restaurant.

"Teppanyaki" was introduced by a Japanese restaurant chain "Misono" in 1945.
Customers always enjoy both watching the maneuvers of the chefs preparing the food
right in front of them as well as the cuisine.

I love the mood of this low-light scene, and of course the food looks delicious.

Well composed in these lighting conditions. Nice point of view too. I like this action shot. You're getting great results with the Nikkor 12-24. "V"

Amazing how cultural our food is 1 Here, that piece of pbeef would NEVER sell... waaaaaay too much fat in it ! I guess the diff is in the sauce and the marinated process. In America, the Japanese version the most recognized is the Teryaki sauce and what we all call Teryaki beef. Our "steaks" are red meat, very little fat "in it" but some around it. The absolute best beef, in steaks or cooked any other way was in Texas... you wanna know what a steak is... go to Texas.
I love you resto scene CM... I can almost hear the noise of the knives on the grill plate, the smell of the food cooking... ypu, with a nice cold beer... it must have been a great meal.. Beautiful shot BTW.

I saw a programm about the preparation of beef in Japan, it's fantastic, starting with the way they control the animal's growth and nutrition for a better result and how they cook it. It's a real art of taste! Thanks a lot for the beautiful documentary shots! V

My favour Teppanyaki! Kobe Beef meal is very famous not only in Kobe but also around the world. The cattles feed with beer and daily massages which make the meat very tender. yummy yummy...
I wish I could be there enjoying the meal with you!
