A lot of remote villages lack fresh water supply.
The villagers obtain water from streams and wells
and then keep it in huge pottery jars.

Wonderful capture of an ordinary scene. These earthen ware jars, reminded me of similar jars full of preserved beans and other vegies in our cellar, days gone by, it was in my youth seventy years ago.

Voted! Terrific photojournelism! The scene is not only a terrific capture it also makes me realize how much we take for granted. I have a rain barrel to catch water for plants but I couldn't imagine using it for drinking or other things. Though it could be with straining and boiling and 8 drops of bleach to a gallon.
