As the morning sun rises, lighting on the western shoreline becomes harsh, not appealing for bird photography. This is when I turn my boat around to face the eastern horizon. With high sun and a calm day, the water and sky become one. The light is strong and objects and their reflections are silhouetted, creating a contrast against the white. This is very appealing to me!
